A Historic Approach
Currently, St. Timothy's Ordinariate Catholic Church is taking residence at the historic church of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Sykesville, MD. The church was established in 1868 and continues to serve the Parish for various liturgical events.
About Our Church
We are a community of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter. Established by Pope Benedict XVI, the Personal Ordinariates enable former Anglicans and Episcopalians to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church while bringing to the Church elements of Christianity unique to the English patrimony, “a treasure to be shared.”
We strive to deepen our love for God and neighbor through the preaching of the Bible, the study of sound theology, elegant and reverent liturgy, and the frequent and devout reception of the Sacraments.
